Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices, and who is eager to take ownership of building and maintaining modern, scalable infrastructure systems. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments, enhance system reliability, and support continuous delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable and secure cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with developers to automate and optimize development and release workflows.
  • Ensure best practices in system reliability, scalability, and security across infrastructure components.
  • Maintain documentation of infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system alerts and incidents as needed.
  • Stay updated on the latest DevOps trends, tools, and cloud innovations to enhance system capabilities.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure-focused role.
  • Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, and VPC.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Basic experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of source control systems such as Git and experience with Git workflows.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect) is a strong plus.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
  • Exposure to Linux system administration and basic networking concepts.
  • Experience working in Agile or DevOps-driven development environments
