AWS Engineer – Contract Opportunity (Hybrid | London)

We’re working with a leading financial institution that is seeking two experienced AWS Engineers to support a major cloud transformation and data quality initiative. This 5-month contract offers a hybrid working model based in London, starting in August.

Contract Details:

• Start Date: ASAP in August
• Duration: 5 months
• Location: Hybrid (London)
• Rate: £425–£500 inside IR35

Role Overview:

You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing resilient, cloud-native solutions for critical enterprise services. This includes developing RESTful APIs, managing serverless applications, and driving AWS infrastructure through Terraform automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, service-oriented AWS architectures.
• Build and maintain REST APIs using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and more.
• Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform.
• Work with a wide range of AWS services: S3, IAM, Athena, Glue, SQS, SageMaker, and more.
• Deliver the integration layer above metadata repositories for the One Bank Data Quality service.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years’ software development experience.
• Expert in AWS core services: S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, Glue, Secrets Manager, etc.
• Deep hands-on experience with Terraform and serverless architecture.
• Solid knowledge of CloudWatch, Glue Crawler, and Athena.
• Bonus: Familiarity with SageMaker Studio, Spark, and Python.
