Requirements
Oversee and upkeep the infrastructure supporting Cloud services on AWS, GCP, and Azure
Collaborate with remote cloud operations teams to ensure ongoing cloud service operations
Resolve issues with the production infrastructure and applications and follow up on any problems found
Performing investigations into and subsequent resolution of underlying causes
Collaborate with external carriers and development/quality assurance teams to address and avoid problems
Assist with launching new releases, maintaining existing systems, and expanding into the cloud
Scalability and service availability can be enhanced by process, automation, tuning, and tools
Evaluate the efficiency of the service, pinpoint any problems, and propose solutions
Make service monitoring more efficient, accurate, and comprehensive
Ensure cloud security and compliance by actively participating in related projects
Your Qualities:
Ideally, you will have a background in computer science or engineering
Must have worked as a CloudOps or DevOps for at least five years
Proven expertise working with AWS or another public cloud provider (e.g., Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Familiarity with Linux, security, and the basics of networking
A working knowledge with container-based architecture and deployment, inclusive of Docker and Kubernetes
Proficient in the construction of deployment automation using tools like Terraform, Helm, and Argo Workflows
Proven track record of identifying and fixing intricate application issues
Proficient with Ignite, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and RabbitMQ among other technologies
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Kibana, or Prometheus is preferred, but not required
Familiarity with implementing cloud security and compliance measures is an asset.
Demonstrates a high level of initiative and follows through on issues until they are resolved
Skilled at coordinating efforts among geographically dispersed teams operating in different time zones
