Job Title: Cloud Engineer – Mid-Senior Level

About the Role:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our infrastructure and DevOps team in London. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security compliance.
• Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and security teams to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize cost and performance across cloud resources and environments.
• Ensure cloud governance policies are followed, including backups, patching, and access control.
• Provide cloud incident support and participate in on-call rotations if needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or architecture.
• Expertise in one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

Desirable:

• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, GCP Professional Cloud Engineer).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
• Exposure to DevSecOps practices and compliance frameworks (ISO27001, GDPR, etc.).
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud architectures.
