About the Role:

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer II to join our agile cloud infrastructure team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure, with a strong emphasis on automation, CI/CD practices, and containerized application deployments.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, analytically driven, and deeply curious, with hands-on experience in Azure environments, a strong understanding of DevOps practices, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage secure cloud infrastructure in Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Chef, and Azure Policy.
  • Deploy and support applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and manage container orchestration.
  • Configure and maintain Azure DNS for traffic routing, custom domains, and availability.
  • Develop and manage automation scripts using Azure CLI, Python, C#, and Java to streamline deployment and operational tasks.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional swarming sessions to troubleshoot and resolve cloud-hosted issues.
  • Fully automate the deployment and management of environments using CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Ensure infrastructure and application deployments meet cybersecurity compliance requirements.
  • Continuously monitor, optimize, and support cloud environments for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps, Azure CLI, and Azure Policy.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages: C#, Java, and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized applications.
  • Familiarity with Azure DNS setup and management.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience implementing automated pipelines.
  • Experience collaborating in Agile environments and working closely with DevOps, security, and platform teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in cloud-native environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with secure cloud architecture and cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
  • Exposure to monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
