We are seeking a dynamic Cloud-Focused IT Operations Manager on behalf of a client to lead and optimize IT infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments within a Systems Integrator (SI) setting. This role involves managing multi-cloud operations (AWS, Azure, GCP), driving automation and operational efficiency, ensuring high availability and security, and leading a technical team to deliver consistent, scalable, and reliable IT services to diverse clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee day-to-day cloud operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Manage hybrid IT infrastructure (cloud and on-premise), ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and high availability of infrastructure across multi-tenant and client-specific environments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and optimize cloud costs while maintaining governance and usage visibility.
- Manage IT operations teams responsible for 24/7 uptime and technical support across cloud and traditional infrastructure.
- Define and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Lead and execute strategic cloud projects, including migrations, cloud-native deployments, and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Develop and enforce ITSM best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Collaborate with vendors and cloud service providers to optimize contracts, services, and support levels.
- Contribute to strategic cloud roadmaps, ensuring alignment with client business goals.
- Foster a DevOps culture focused on automation, observability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop the IT/cloud operations team to stay ahead of emerging cloud trends and technologies.
What I Am Looking For:
- A proven leader with 5–8 years of IT operations experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role focused on cloud and hybrid environments within a Systems Integrator (SI) or Managed Services Provider (MSP) setting.
- Hands-on expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, identity management, compute, and storage.
- Experience with cloud-native services, containers (Kubernetes, Docker), and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and monitoring platforms (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus).
- Strong grasp of cloud security and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and project management capabilities.
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage and align stakeholders across technical and business teams.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, GCP Associate Engineer, ITIL, or PMP are a strong plus.
