Overview
UBS is seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to support enterprise-scale cloud operations, automation, and cost optimization initiatives. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong Azure experience, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation skills, especially within a financial services environment.
Position: Contract – Full-time (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
Implement and manage CI/CD pipeline automation
Perform system and configuration changes to improve automation and efficiency
Manage and optimize cloud monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
Lead application migrations between banking entities
Handle certificate renewals and cleanup of legacy systems
Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams on scalable solutions
Drive FinOps initiatives to reduce Azure cloud spend
Requirement Qualifications
Must-Have Skills:
Azure Cloud infrastructure management
FinOps / Cloud cost optimization
Azure CosmosDB / SQL
Terraform / IaC scripting
PowerShell / Bash scripting
Linux OS proficiency
CI/CD pipeline automation
Monitoring tools: Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana
UBS banking environment familiarity (preferred)
Grid DataSynapse experience (preferred)
Experience:
7–8 years in cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or automation roles
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Financial or banking domain experience preferred
Candidate Details
Must have strong Azure + DevOps background
Skilled in automation, monitoring, and FinOps
Experience in banking environments and UBS systems is a plus
