About the role

We are seeking a talented Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team at HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD. In this full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a crucial role in our software engineering efforts, utilising your expertise in DevOps practices to drive continuous integration and deployment processes.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and maintain efficient and reliable CI/CD pipelines
• Automate deployment and infrastructure provisioning using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Docker
• Work closely with development teams, QA, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment on project goals.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes, pipelines, and configurations.
• Monitor and maintain Unix/Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance of the infrastructure.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal documentation and knowledge-sharing
• Stay updated with the latest DevOps trends and technologies, and proactively suggest improvements to existing processes and tools.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or software engineering role
• Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Utilize BitBucket and Git for source code management, ensuring proper version control and collaboration among development teams.
• Write and maintain Groovy and Shell scripts to automate various DevOps tasks, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
• Assist in the deployment of applications, particularly those built on .Net and Java, ensuring smooth and error-free releases.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions
• Additional experience with Artifactory, Sonarqube, and Jira is a plus
