What is the objective of this role?

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing our DevOps practice. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve effective DevOps outcomes and actively contribute to Cyber Security and Compliance across the organization. Additionally, you will provide mentorship, manage task delegation, establish a mature DevSecOps capability, and promote improvements to enhance team efficiency.

What you’ll do in this role

• Platform Engineering: Create cloud solutions that align with business needs, best practices, and industry standards. Reduce costs and risks while maintaining performance and reliability of resources. Build cloud agnostic solutions via IaC.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, IaC tools like Terraform, Observability and Monitoring tools like Datadog etc.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and manage security measures, perform penetration testing, code and vulnerability scanning across products. Work with the compliance team to meet contractual, regulatory, and industry standard frameworks.
• Review Architecture and Processes: Periodically assess architecture and processes, identify opportunities and risks, and recommend improvements.
• Implement Monitoring Systems: Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to maintain the health of application environments and overall infrastructure.
• Support and Troubleshoot: Provide support and troubleshooting for our apps and infrastructure. Help resolve L2/L3 customer issues.
• Manage IT Support Tickets: Lead internal IT support ticket management.
• Team Development: Coach, mentor, and manage the professional development of team members.
• Cross-team collaboration: Collaborate with Development, QA and Operations team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• IT Systems Administration: Manage user accounts and maintain Volaris network. Assess security of office, servers, and code environments. Deploy Volaris IT products like Crowdstrike, Proofpoint, Rapid7, and Umbrella. Collaborate with Portfolio IT security to conduct security audits.
• Proficiency in utilizing AI tools for vulnerability assessments, infrastructure automation, and deployment pipelines is highly desirable for the Senior DevOps Engineer role
