Job Purpose:

Jordan Ahli Bank is looking for a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on technical support to help maintain and enhance the QAWN app and other digital banking services. This hybrid role combines system support expertise with DevOps engineering practices to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable application delivery. You will provide hands-on technical support, automate infrastructure operations, and contribute to cloud deployment and monitoring.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Technical Support Duties:

• Provide Linux system administration and support for RHEL and Ubuntu systems.
• Troubleshoot OS-level and hardware/software issues across Linux, macOS, and Windows environments.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, security patches, and software tools.
• Respond to support tickets, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain system compliance with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, DISA-STIG).
• Analyze vulnerability scans (e.g., Tenable, ACAS) and apply remediation steps.
• Document standard operating procedures and provide user guidance and training as needed.
• ability to administer and manage local area networks.

DevOps Duties:

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes.
• Monitor system and application performance with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or ELK Stack.
• Automate operational tasks and deployments using scripting languages (Bash, Python) and configuration tools like Ansible.
• Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve efficiency and reliability.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a combined DevOps/System Admin/Tech Support role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) system administration.
• Proficient in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, etc.).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container lifecycle management.
• Proficient in Terraform, shell scripting, and automation frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild).
• Knowledge of security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRamp).
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CKA) are a plus.
