Step into a pivotal DevOps role with one of the most unique companies in the global gaming/gambling space. This is your chance to shape the future of a high-growth, live casino business that combines cutting-edge green screen technology, 24/7 multilingual game presenters, and full-stack infrastructure from wallet services to real-time streaming.

The company has over 600 people globally, with 200 in Malta focused on the live casino operation, everything from game development to secure broadcast studios. They’re scaling fast and need a hands-on DevOps leader to help unify cloud and on-prem architecture across regions and teams.

Tech Environment:

• AWS (EC2, S3, EKS, IAM)
• Kubernetes heavy architecture
• Terraform for IAC
• Multi-region, multi-account AWS setup
• Some legacy on-prem systems still in use (especially Malta)
• Green screen broadcasting and real-time streaming tech

What They're Looking For:

• Proven experience leading cross-regional DevOps teams
• Expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform at scale
• Comfortable mentoring others and setting DevOps culture
• Strong communicator, not afraid to push back or challenge assumptions - there are a lot of strong personalities in this business!
• Able to work with legacy infrastructure while paving a clean path forward

I must emphasise that this is a really strong cultural role where your future manager is looking for you to come in and instil a DevOps culture, best practice and improve the way of working across the DevOps and associated tech teams. You will be the "Jedi" of DevOps culture and best practice in this organisation.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the evolution of their DevOps function, building a “tribe of warriors” to standardise and scale infrastructure across Malta, Romania, and the UK.
• Merge on-prem and cloud-based DevOps strategies, implementing hub-and-spoke architecture with AWS as the central backbone.
• Own AWS infrastructure and champion best practices across EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, and Terraform-managed stacks.
• Work closely with two distributed engineering teams: one focused on legacy C++ gaming systems (Malta), and the other building new games in Java (Romania).
• Mentor ICs in less experienced geographies while navigating a mix of cultures and personalities, including some strong characters.
• Help untangle a complex multi-account AWS setup and build clean, scalable DevOps workflows.
• Collaborate with security, CCTV, and compliance teams to support a product that operates 24/7 in every time zone.

Location & Working Style:

• West London office (2–3 days per week expected)
• Core DevOps team of 20+, with plans to grow
