Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (75287) – Remote Option
Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire (No C2C or sponsorship available)
Talent Groups is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a collaborative and lean infrastructure team within the EdTech space. This is a newly reopened, high-impact position reporting to a hands-on manager who is looking for a versatile, programmer-minded SRE or Systems Engineer with strong Linux expertise. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, wears many hats, builds solutions from scratch, and enjoys solving complex engineering problems.
We’re targeting the following skills and experience:
Required Experience and Skills:
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in IT Operations, Systems Engineering, SRE, or related roles.
• Strong Linux skills (CentOS/RHEL) supporting large-scale environments.
• Proven Ansible expertise—capable of writing and extending modular, production-ready playbooks.
• Deep experience with CI/CD, including Jenkins pipeline development, Groovy scripting, multi-branch SCM, and artifact handling.
• Solid experience with AWS (preferred) and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
• Scripting or programming experience with one or more: Bash, Python, Ruby, Groovy, Java, Go, Perl.
• Experience with Docker/LXC containers and orchestration (Docker Swarm a plus).
• Comfortable designing, maintaining, and modifying infrastructure in both on-prem and cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking, monitoring, and security best practices.
• Demonstrated history of career progression and role stability (no job hoppers).
• Experience supporting production environments and participating in on-call rotations.
Nice to Have:
• Familiarity with F5 LTM, LVM, and legacy hosting technologies.
• Experience with Git, artifact management, and secure deployment workflows.
• Exposure to log aggregation tools, alerting systems, and SIEM/IDS platforms.
• Background in EdTech, K–12, or other mission-driven industries.
