Requirements

Key Responsibilities & Skills

Core Competencies

  • Automation: Expertise in automating infrastructure using tools like CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools for continuous integration and deployment
  • Monitoring & Observability: Familiar with tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • API & Load Balancing: Understanding of REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, API Gateway, and load balancing techniques

Technical Requirements

  • Strong foundation in Linux OS and system concepts
  • Experience handling production issues and ensuring system reliability
  • Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Go, or Shell)
  • Familiarity with Docker, microservices architecture, and cloud-native tools like Kubernetes
  • Understanding of RDBMS/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Additional Skills

  • Awareness of security practices including OWASP, static code analysis, etc.
  • Familiarity with fintech security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC2) is a plus
  • AWS certifications are an added advantage
  • Knowledge of AWS data services like DMS, Glue, Athena, and Redshift is a bonus
  • Experience working in start-up environments and with distributed teams is desirable
