About the Role: AWS DevOps Intern

We are looking for a motivated and curious AWS DevOps Intern to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career or currently pursuing a technical degree who wants to gain hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and data platforms in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

As an intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to support, build, and automate cloud infrastructure and tooling on AWS. You’ll gain exposure to modern DevOps tools and processes, Linux systems, and AWS services such as EMR, Lambda, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing and troubleshooting Linux-based environments.
• Help configure and maintain AWS resources including EMR, S3, and Lambda.
• Learn to work with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Support the development and automation of CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in access control and identity management tasks, including Okta and AD integrations.
• Gain experience with data tools like Parquet, Jupyter notebooks, and data processing pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams on various infrastructure and DevOps initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Familiarity with AWS or cloud concepts (certifications or coursework a plus).
• Comfortable with scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
• Understands infrastructure tools like Terraform or CI/CD systems.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Exposure to identity and access management tools like Okta or Active Directory.
• Familiarity with big data tools or concepts (e.g., EMR, Spark, Lake Formation).
• Experience using Jupyter notebooks or working with data science teams.
