Salary: 225K - 250K Base++

We are seeking a technical leader to join our programming team as a Vice President of DevSecOps who will lead teams of engineers across DevOps, SecOps, and Site Reliability Engineering functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers across DevOps, SecOps, and SRE functions, providing guidance on best practices and personal development.
• Serve as a technical leader, driving architectural decisions, fostering a culture of security, reliability, and automation.
• Act as a key collaborator between development, security, and operations teams, breaking down silos and ensuring seamless communication.
• Lead by example, working closely with team members on hands-on projects while encouraging skill growth and knowledge sharing.

Hands-On Contributions

DevOps

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes. (Jenkins)
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with developers to create scalable and reliable environments in cloud and on-premises infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Monitor performance metrics, optimize resource usage, and enhance system uptime. (Grafana)

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

• Design and implement scalable systems to ensure the reliability and performance of production environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Develop playbooks and automation scripts to reduce manual intervention in incident response.
• Lead post-incident reviews and drive continuous improvement based on the learnings.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 5+ years in DevOps, SecOps, or SRE role, with leadership experience or a proven track record of mentorship in technical teams
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Expertise in both implementing and coaching on security best practices (e.g. IAM, firewalls, vulnerability management).
• Solid background in monitoring, alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk), and incident management
• Strong background in Linux/Unix systems and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go) for automating processes
• Experience in payments industry and/or banking

Leadership Skills:

• Proven experience leading technical teams in a player/coach capacity, balancing leadership with hands-on contributions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to guide both junior and senior engineers.
• Ability to drive collaboration across development, security, and operations teams

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

• AWS/GCP/Azure Certified DevOps Engineer
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer
