We're partnering with a high-growth fintech infrastructure company to hire a Director of Engineering to lead their Platform team-spanning DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and core infrastructure. You'll play a key role in building scalable systems that support real-time payment processing and high-availability environments.
This is a deeply technical leadership role, perfect for someone who's managed infrastructure at scale and enjoys driving architectural decisions, uptime, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of senior engineers across DevOps, SRE, and platform
- Own the infrastructure roadmap and scalability strategy
- Guide incident response, SLAs/SLOs, and platform reliability metrics
- Optimize cloud infrastructure performance and cost
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, security, and engineering leaders
- Drive infrastructure automation, observability, and compliance
What You Bring
- 6+ years of engineering experience, 3+ years in leadership
- Strong cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Deep expertise in CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and observability tools
- Experience with highly available, production-scale systems
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, payments, or compliance-heavy environments
- Familiarity with .NET/C# backend services
- Experience with service mesh, microservices, and high-throughput systems
- Background in resilience testing or chaos engineering
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
Compensation & Perks
- $160K-$210K base + performance-based bonus
