A high-growth, VC-backed SaaS company is hiring a Director of DevOps to lead four critical functions - DevOps, SRE, IT, and InfoSec, in preparation for IPO. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, overseeing a 10-person team and owning the end-to-end infrastructure strategy for a real-world product used by thousands daily.

With $50M+ ARR, rapid growth, and a clear path to public markets, this role offers significant impact, autonomy, and technical scope.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Lead and scale four core functions: DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, IT, and Information Security
• Own the cloud infrastructure strategy across AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, VPC, IAM) to support a fast-growing production environment
• Define and maintain CI/CD architecture using modern tools (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.)
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi) and automation best practices
• Build and manage observability, monitoring, and incident response processes across all environments
• Oversee internal IT systems and InfoSec posture — access controls, device management, compliance readiness
• Align infrastructure and security initiatives with business priorities, product roadmap, and scaling goals
• Coach and develop a high-performing team of engineers across DevOps, SRE, IT, and security
• Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership on cloud investment, risk mitigation, and platform resilience

✅ Ideal Profile

• 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, with at least 2+ years leading multi-functional teams.
• Deep AWS expertise - capable of scaling secure, performant systems in production environments
• Proven experience in CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and observability tooling
• Hands-on background in Python, Go, or similar for infrastructure automation
• Strong grasp of enterprise IT, endpoint management, and InfoSec fundamentals
• Comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical levels — from roadmap planning to technical deep dives
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to align infrastructure work with cross-functional business needs
• Bonus: Experience supporting ML infrastructure, compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO), or hybrid cloud environments
