🚨Hiring: Director of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

📍 Location: New York or Austin preferred | 💼 Hybrid

Salary is up to $220,000 plus additional compensation, depending on experience and skills.

Our client is looking for a hands-on, high-impact SRE leader to scale, modernize, and own the reliability of systems supporting over $130M in ARR.

This isn’t just a maintenance role — it's a transformation mandate.

💡 What You’ll Lead:

🔧 70% of your focus: Maintain and ensure the reliability of critical systems.

🚀 30% (and growing): Drive modernization across CI/CD, observability, and cloud infrastructure.

🔍 We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has proven experience modernizing SRE orgs and legacy systems.
• Knows how to balance platform reliability with cost-efficiency and innovation.
• Can roll up their sleeves and troubleshoot fast — no unnecessary escalations.
• Is obsessed with uptime, monitoring, and performance visibility.

🛠 Our Stack (and Evolution):

• CI/CD: Transitioning from Jenkins → GitHub Actions (runners)
• Monitoring: Currently using Datadog (contract ending), New Relic, Dynatrace
• Cloud: Primarily AWS; exploring GCP & Azure for multi-cloud cost strategies

📈 What Success Looks Like:

• Reduce mean time to detect/respond to incidents
• Transition to modern, cost-effective observability
• Help architect and support Platform V2
• Own uptime for systems directly tied to company revenue
