About the Role

Ours client is a global crypto investment firm operating across high-frequency trading, arbitrage, and discretionary strategies. With a hybrid approach bridging crypto and traditional finance, they are looking for a Head of Global Infrastructure & Operations to lead the design, execution, and optimization of their global infrastructure. This role will drive operational excellence across multiple time zones, with a strong focus on low-latency systems and quantitative platform architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a global infrastructure and operations team spanning APAC, Europe, and North America.
• Architect and manage high-availability, low-latency trading infrastructure to support high-frequency and arbitrage strategies.
• Optimize and maintain AWS and hybrid cloud environments to ensure performance and scalability.
• Design and implement a robust quantitative middle-office platform integrating execution engines, strategy systems, and data services.
• Build comprehensive observability solutions including logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems.
• Enable seamless 24/7 operational coverage with cross-regional coordination and real-time system responsiveness.
• Collaborate with strategy, engineering, and risk teams to ensure infrastructure supports evolving trading needs.
• Drive automation, resilience, and DevOps/SRE best practices across the global ops stack.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Operations, with at least 3 years in a global leadership role.
• Background in high-frequency trading, crypto funds, hedge funds, or quantitative finance is strongly preferred.
• Proven expertise in AWS (or multi-cloud), containerization, distributed systems, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Deep understanding of low-latency system architecture and tuning: networking, kernel optimization, and I/O performance.
• Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Alertmanager).
• Experience designing and building quantitative middle platforms that connect strategy, data, and execution layers.
• Strong execution and leadership skills, with the ability to enforce global standards and drive operational agility.
• Fluent in English, with experience managing multicultural, cross-timezone teams.

Bonus Points

• Experience with blockchain infrastructure, DeFi/CeFi ops, or crypto-specific systems.
• Familiarity with the full lifecycle of quant trading: data ingestion → backtesting → deployment → monitoring.
• Scripting/automation skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Tuning expertise with core infra components: Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, etc.
