Junior Cloud Engineer to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for
recent graduates or junior professionals eager to grow in the fields of cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform reliability. You'll be supported by experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience working with modern technologies in real-world production environments.
Responsibilities
Cloud Platform Development: Contribute to building our internal developer platform, learning how services are deployed, monitored, and managed.
Infrastructure as Code: Learn to manage cloud infrastructure (AWS) using Terraform under guidance.
CI/CD Support: Assist in maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, learning how modern software delivery works.
Monitoring & Reliability: Help set up tools like Grafana and Prometheus to improve system visibility and uptime.
Security Practices: Learn foundational concepts like IAM and infrastructure hardening.
Database Exposure: Work on MySQL RDS and understand database performance basics.
Automation & Releases: Participate in deployment workflows and automate routine processes.
Linux Fundamentals: Gain practical experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers to align platform capabilities with developer needs.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or recently graduated)
- Interest in cloud technologies, infrastructure, and automation
- Familiarity with Linux and basic command-line usage
- Basic understanding of git and CI/CD (from university or personal projects)
- Curiosity and motivation to learn tools like Terraform, Grafana, and GitLab CI/CD
- Good communication skills in English and Greek
- A problem-solving mindset and a willingness to take initiative
Nice to Have
- Exposure to AWS or any other cloud provider
- Basic understanding of Java applications
- Familiarity with Docker or other container technologies
- Interest or experience in databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
