Junior Data Platform Engineer

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement optimal data structures and algorithms to develop efficient and scalable applications using Java or Python.
  • Integrate applications with various RDBMS, including Snowflake, Oracle, and MS-SQL.
  • Utilize Linux (or Unix-like OS) as the development environment and leverage shell scripts and command-line tools.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, business end-users, and vendors to design and develop data solutions.
  • Apply industry best practices for code versioning, testing, CICD workflows, and code documentation.
  • Participate in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
  • Ensure data quality by using profiling, cleansing, and monitoring tools for data pipelines.
  • Solve complex problems with innovative ideas and demonstrate strong analytical skills.
  • Work meticulously with details to ensure smooth operations.


Reqirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in as a platform engineer or software engineer.
  • Hand on experience in implementing the optimal data structures in Java or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Oracle, and MS-SQL is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using Linux (or Unix-like OS) as the development environment, including shell scripts and command-line tools.
  • Experience with SDLC and/or Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Strong understanding and application of good industry practices in code versioning, testing, CICD workflow, and code documentation.
