Job_Summary:

NetImpact Strategies Inc. is a Trusted Advisor driving impact through digital transformation for the Federal Government. They are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to support application operations, cloud technologies, and CI/CD practices while collaborating with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.


Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day operational support for applications, including incident response, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Assist in maintaining and updating continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to support development and deployment activities.

• Work closely with developers and QA engineers to ensure that applications are deployed efficiently, with a focus on reliability and performance.

• Monitor application and system performance using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or similar platforms.

• Support the setup and configuration of environments for development, testing, and production in AWS or other cloud platforms.

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance deployment and support processes.

• Follow security and compliance guidelines in day-to-day support and infrastructure tasks.


Qualifications:


-Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 1–3 years of experience in application support, systems administration, or DevOps-related work

• Familiarity with the .NET stack.

• Basic experience with version control tools like Git.

• Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).

• Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code concepts (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation preferred).

• Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).

• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, or ELK).

• Eagerness to learn and grow in DevOps and cloud technologies.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset.

• Ability to follow established procedures and suggest improvements when applicable.


-Preferred:

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus.

• Previous Federal Consulting Experience
