About The Role

We're looking for a Junior Platform Engineer to join our engineering team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering, who's eager to grow in a hands-on technical environment. You'll support platform stability, automation, and cloud operations across CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code environments.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
Monitor systems and resolve incidents with guidance from senior engineers
Contribute to infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to streamline deployments and testing
Participate in system maintenance, upgrades, and documentation

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering role
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure/GCP also acceptable)
Familiarity with Linux systems, networking basics, and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
Exposure to tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, etc.
Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus
Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and based in the Toronto area
