Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of data platform, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Proactively monitor platform components, clusters, and services to detect and resolve issues before they impact operations.
- Manage configuration, upgrades, and patching to keep all platform services up to date and secure.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deploy and integrate new solutions for data ingestion, processing, and workflows.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation on platform configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and incident resolutions.
- Implement security best practices, continuously identifying and addressing vulnerabilities to ensure a secure environment.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline administrative tasks and improve platform efficiency.
- Support production issues, ensuring IT solutions meet operational service levels.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in managing Cloudera Data Platform components like HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Impala, Ranger, and related security and network configurations.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Cloudera Manager, Zabbix, Grafana, Splunk, or SyslogNG.
- Familiarity with middleware applications like Informatica, Denodo, and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Shell scripting for automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex system and application issues.
- A background in deploying high-performance, high-availability, and secure systems in data center or hybrid cloud environments is an advantage.
- Cloudera Certified Administrator or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage critical incidents effectively.
