Job Title: Platform Engineer

Location: Bangalore/ Kolkata

Required Skillset: Python, SQL, Azure/AWS services, CI/CD, Containerization

Experience Range: 6-8 Years

Job Description

Must Have:

1. Design, develop, and implement Azure cloud-based solutions
2. Maintain and monitor existing Azure infrastructure and workloads
3. Ensure the security, performance, reliability, and scalability of Azure applications and infrastructure
4. Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure issues
5. Work closely with developers to implement continuous delivery systems and methodologies on Azure
6. Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
7. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to other members of the team on Azure technology and solutions
8. Stay up-to-date with Microsoft Azure’s latest developments and trends to implement improvements as necessary
9. Develop and implement disaster recovery plans
10. Assist in the development of cost management strategies for Azure usage
11. Should be able to use observability suites to effectively locate the cause of the infra related issues and apply fixes before it impacts the development timelines significantly
12. Proactively monitor the resource utilization and consumption to keep the platform healthy their minimize downtime for the development process

Roles & Responsibilities:

Customer Centric

1. Provide always on, usable platform infrastructure to the developers and promote PaaS mindset
2. Experience working with DevOps teams

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with the development team to understand the infrastructure need, implement and promote its usage

Regularly review new tools that become available in the industry and assess how they could be integrated into the IDP

Soft Skills

Good communication skills

Ability to interact with various internal groups and be on top of the operational issues

Disciplined and self motivated – should be able to collaboratively work

Should be coming to office 5 days a week / as per TCS policy

Work across time zones as needed – working with US stakeholders, counterparts is a must and overlapping is needed
