As a Senior Cloud Engineer in the Qantas Cloud Platform, you will be a part of a team that has a eye on security and has a desire to do things better, to deliver value as efficiently as possible and to become more adaptive to our customer & stakeholder demands. This is a great opportunity that is available for a positive, experienced, and motivated Cloud Engineer with strong technical and communication skills. You will have a mindset for security, innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement.
You’ll Bring
Exceptional Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working in a SecOps capacity applying best practice to reduce security vulnerabilities across a broad range of technologies including:
Experience with Open-Source Technologies with some exposure to core and database technologies
Fluent in scripting & programming languages, such as Ruby, Python etc
Experience in working with large scale cloud platforms and maintaining AWS based environments
Hands on experience using Docker and Kubernetes
Logging & event management tools such as Splunk, Appdynamics & DataDog
Experience with CI/CD methodologies, processes and tools
Automation experience with Orchestration tools and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation and deploying SAST scanning tools
IT Operations – ability to work under pressure with an understanding of Linux and Cloud Platforms
Cloud security best practices Enterprise architecture Assessment of emerging technology, frameworks, products and tools
Experience monitoring highly available applications and core systems
Strong communication skills both written & verbal
A Willingness to participate in the teams on call support rotation (24/7)
