Senior Reliability Engineer

My client is looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and maintain observability and reliability solutions across complex systems and cloud environments. You’ll play a key role in ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability through monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement.


What You’ll Do:

  • Configure and optimize monitoring tools to gather real-time data across systems, applications, and networks.
  • Manage and triage alerts, analyze patterns, and drive incident resolution.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to provide actionable insights to technical and business teams.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and development teams to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize systems.
  • Administer and maintain observability platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, AppDynamics).
  • Participate in incident response, postmortems, and capacity planning initiatives.
  • Automate monitoring, reporting, and alert configurations to drive operational excellence.
  • Integrate observability with CI/CD pipelines and other operational platforms.
  • Research emerging tools, technologies, and best practices to keep our systems future-ready.


What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT, DevOps, or software engineering with a focus on system reliability and monitoring.
  • Strong experience with SolarWinds, AWS OpenSearch (Elasticsearch), AppDynamics, or similar tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, JSON preferred).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK a plus).
  • Understanding of web services architecture and CI/CD best practices.
  • Passion for automation, monitoring, system optimization, and reliability engineering.


Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, or relevant observability platforms.
  • Experience in DevOps or SRE teams focused on enterprise environments.
