Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Remote (US only)

$190K base + bonus + benfits


A high-growth, PE-backed SaaS company in the hospitality technology space is hiring a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to modernize its cloud infrastructure and support its global customer base.

This is a senior individual contributor role with ownership over infrastructure upgrades, CI/CD tooling, on-call coverage, and system reliability. You’ll help move the platform from a monolithic, EC2-based setup to a containerized environment on AWS using ECS and Terraform.

You will work closely with developers and engineering leadership to improve automation, reliability, and scalability across the platform.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Migrate EC2-based systems to containerized workloads using ECS
  • Simplify and standardize Terraform infrastructure using Workspaces
  • Design and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Contribute to platform security and compliance (SOC2)
  • Provide on-call support and lead root cause analysis efforts
  • Participate in four-month planning cycles and cross-team delivery


Tech Stack Includes:


  • AWS: EC2, ECS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, S3
  • IaC: Terraform, Chef
  • CI/CD: Jenkins (legacy), GitHub Actions
  • Monitoring: Datadog, Prometheus
  • Scripting: Bash, Python, Ruby
  • Database: MongoDB (migration in progress)


Ideal Profile:


  • 7+ years in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
  • Strong Linux/EC2 administration and scripting background
  • Solid AWS knowledge and experience managing production environments
  • Experience building infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and own critical incident response
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Preference for candidates in North America time zones
