We’re seeking a Senior Systems Developer / CloudOps Engineer to architect, implement, and manage the AWS infrastructure supporting our data-driven operations. You’ll own our cloud systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, resilient, and optimized for both performance and cost efficiency.
This role is more than maintaining infrastructure; it’s enabling DigiBank’s ambitious mission through flawless technology execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect and Maintain Cloud Infrastructure
Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including networking, IAM, compute resources, containerization, databases, and storage solutions, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implement and Optimize CI/CD Pipelines
Establish and refine continuous integration and deployment processes to facilitate rapid, reliable software and model deployments using services like CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, ECS, ECR, and SageMaker.
• Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code
Use infrastructure-as-code tools (Pulumi or Terraform) extensively to create reproducible, version-controlled environments. Automate operational tasks, monitoring, and self-healing mechanisms.
• Security, Auditing & Compliance
Ensure infrastructure adheres to best practices for security, encryption (KMS), access control, and compliance. Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring (CloudWatch, CloudTrail), auditing, and alerting frameworks.
• Support High-Performance Data Workloads
Collaborate closely with data engineering and machine learning teams to ensure infrastructure and services (Glue, Lambda, Athena, Step Functions, SageMaker) perform optimally, are cost-effective, and scale efficiently.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
Develop robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans, regularly testing failover mechanisms and data recovery scenarios.
• Collaborate Across Teams
Work effectively with engineering, analytics, and credit risk teams to understand operational challenges, translating them into resilient cloud solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
· Strong ownership mindset (end-to-end accountability)
· Passionate about continuous learning and improvement
· 5+ years in cloud operations, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles
· Deep expertise with AWS: Networking (VPC, VPN), Compute (EC2, ECS, Lambda), Storage (S3, EBS), Security (IAM, KMS), Monitoring (CloudWatch, CloudTrail)
· Strong skills in infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi preferred, Terraform acceptable)
· Proficiency in Python, Bash scripting, and automation tools
· Experience in CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
· Solid understanding of container orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
· Demonstrated knowledge of secure cloud architectures and data anonymization best practices
Nice to Have
· Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, EventBridge)
· Familiarity with AWS SageMaker, including Feature Store and Pipelines
· Previous experience in fintech, financial services, or mobile money ecosystems
· Interest in ethical AI, responsible data practices, and financial inclusion
