Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Hybrid | NYC | Series A Fintech Startup

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite)

We are hiring for an innovative, venture-backed Series A fintech startup that’s reinventing the future of finance.

This startup is building a smarter, more programmable financial infrastructure from the ground up. Backed by top-tier investors and led by experienced founders, they are growing fast—and looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their NYC-based engineering team.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the core systems of a company on the rise, working with a world-class team on greenfield infrastructure projects.

Role Overview

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS
• Automate infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and monitoring systems
• Establish and refine CI/CD processes and observability tooling
• Collaborate with backend and product teams to ensure system reliability
• Drive incident response, post-mortems, and performance tuning
• Participate in on-call rotations with a focus on continuous improvement

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture and infrastructure automation
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code tools
• A builder’s mindset with a focus on resilience, scale, and security
• Excited about working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Bonus: Experience with fintech, compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001), or security best practices
