Site Reliability Engineer – Post-Trade Platform | Elite Global Investment Firm

A leading global investment firm is seeking a talented and proactive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their Asia-based Post-Trade Technology team. This is a unique opportunity to support and shape critical systems at the heart of the firm’s operations—ensuring smooth and resilient post-trade processes across a variety of asset classes.

About the Role

As an SRE within the Post-Trade team, you’ll play a dual role—70% hands-on production support and 30% automation and tooling development. You’ll take ownership of systems that support order and trade flow, position management, clearing, reconciliation, and settlement across multiple trading desks. Your day-to-day will include troubleshooting live issues, engaging with stakeholders, and building tools to streamline and improve platform performance.

This is a user-facing role, where strong communication and a service-oriented mindset are just as important as your technical ability.

You’ll be joining a small, collaborative team of engineers in Asia, with close ties to front office, operations, and development teams around the globe.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the first line of defense for all post-trade production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption
• Collaborate with teams across the business to understand user needs and resolve system or data issues
• Write clean, reliable Python (or Java) code to automate manual workflows, build monitoring tools, and improve platform reliability
• Own and improve key components of the post-trade ecosystem across multiple asset classes
• Maintain documentation and develop dashboards for visibility into system health and performance

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in a production support or site reliability role, preferably within a financial institution
• Proficient in Python or Java – confident writing scripts and tools to improve support and operational processes
• Comfortable working in high-pressure environments with strong problem-solving instincts
• Excellent communication skills – able to interact confidently with non-technical users and global teams
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle concepts such as clearing, reconciliation, and settlement is highly desirable
