As a Site Reliability Engineer (Azure) at FinThrive, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
This role blend software development and systems administration and cloud engineering to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems and services hosted in Microsoft Azure.
You’ll be at the forefront of troubleshooting, automation, and performance optimization, working closely with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical applications and drive innovation in cloud operations.
What you will do
- System Reliability: Ensure systems and applications are highly available and functioning correctly, minimizing downtime
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and work with teams to implement tuning and scaling strategies for optimal application efficiency as well as query performance tuning using tools such as SQL Server Profile or Execution Plans
- Monitoring and Metrics: Set up and maintain monitoring systems using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to proactively detect and address issues before they become critical. Track metrics such as latency, error rates, and system capacity
- Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, conducting root-cause analyses, and implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrences
- Automation and IAC: Implement and maintain automation scripts using tools like PowerShell, ARM Templates, and Terraform to streamline deployments, automate repetitive tasks such as deployments, monitoring, and incident responses
- Collaboration & Problem Resolution: Work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and customers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues while enhancing system reliability
- Support Application and API Services: Troubleshoot and support IIS-hosted applications and API services, utilizing tools like Postman and SoapUI and Visual Studio for debugging
- Manage and Support Azure Environments: Administer, monitor, and optimize Azure-based applications and services across multiple environments
What you will bring
- 3+ years of experience in application development, Software Engineering, or a similar technical role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, including experience with cloud-based services and infrastructure
- Strong scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, C#, or T-SQL
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible
- Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and IIS administration
- Familiarity with API development and testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI
