We are recognized with our InStore payment’s solution - SinglePOS terminal - at over 15.000 payment points, primarily in leading retail chains. More than 2.000 companies use Monri's eCommerce solutions, like our payment gateways WebPay and WSPay. Monri's ECR solutions Remaris, Smart and Thor are present in more the 6.000 HoReCa companies. Overall, our brands reach more than 10.000 merchants.

We operate on the markets of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, and Albania, as well as in several countries outside the region. With the recent PCI P2PE certification, the highest security standard in card payments, we are strengthening our position for a global breakthrough. In the coming period, we will be focusing on further development of our brands and on the significant step forward on the international market.

To help us drive our mission forward, we’re looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Engineering team.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of mission-critical payment systems.
• Design and implement infrastructure automation, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to build robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct root cause analyses and postmortems for production incidents.
• Optimize system performance and resource usage across our Kubernetes clusters and cloud environments.
• Participate in on-call rotation and proactively improve system observability.

Location

• The position is available in Zagreb, Croatia, with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and backup strategies.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• We use HAProxy, so if you’re already familiar with it and want to dig deeper, that’s awesome.
• Background in fintech or regulated environments.
