Job Purpose:

To ensure the high availability, scalability, and performance of software systems and infrastructure by applying software engineering principles to IT operations. The SRE is responsible for automating processes, reducing manual work, managing incidents, and continuously improving system reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain monitoring systems to ensure system health and performance.
Develop automation tools to streamline operational workflows and reduce manual intervention.
Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
Improve system reliability and scalability by applying software development best practices.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Manage infrastructure in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Ensure system compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
Write and maintain technical documentation related to infrastructure and systems architecture.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Previous experience in SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering roles.
Proficiency with Linux/Unix operating systems.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, Bash, or a similar language.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
