SRE Engineer

Synergis’ client, a software organization focused on an AI powered, unified platform for data discovery, observability, and governance. The Site Reliability Engineer will design and implement automations on their Cloud Infrastructure

SRE Engineer Background and Scope

• Ensure the organization has security policies and follows best practices in terms of security.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the rest of the engineering team. Especially in Docker, Github Actions Workflows, Kubernetes, and monitoring.
• Plan and deliver good quality work in a reasonable time.
• Participate in defining the priorities of a team of 4 Infrastructure Engineers.
• Translate business requirements into action items. Represent the team in meetings with customers and integrators.
• Provide technical support in our public channels.
• Participate in developing our name through blog posts, conferences, meetups, etc.
• Be a part of the team that'll change how data products are being built in OSS.

SRE Engineer Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE / Cloud Architect.
• Experience in at least 80% of our stack:
• Kubernetes
• Helm charts
• AWS, Azure, GCP
• Terraform
• Python
• Docker
• GitHub Actions
• Proactivity to empower our dev team to implement new tools and automations
• A desire to learn and grow as an engineer.
• A passion for uncovering and solving real user problems.
• You'll define our engineering culture, choose our shared tools, and help us build a world-class team.
• Previous open-source contributions are a plus.

The compensation range for this position is $140,000 - 180,000 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including but not limited to, the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, the City of Los Angeles’ Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
