Connsci is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in DevSecOps practices to enhance ICAM infrastructure on one of our federal programs. The role will focus on building and automating secure environments, developing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, implementing infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and ensuring cloud-native deployments are secure, reliable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation frameworks to support rapid and secure deployments.
- Integrate security tools and practices within DevSecOps pipelines to ensure continuous security monitoring and compliance.
- Collaborate with development and cybersecurity teams to implement security-focused development practices and infrastructure hardening.
- Automate configuration management, deployments, and routine operational tasks using modern DevOps tools.
- Ensure infrastructure solutions comply with CMS standards and regulatory requirements, including FedRAMP and FISMA.
- Participate in Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and regular collaboration with stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in systems engineering
- At least 2 years of experience in DevSecOps
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Current Public Trust or higher level government clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as AWS SysOps Administrator, Docker, Kubernetes, or related DevSecOps certifications are preferred
Location: This role can be performed remotely but occasional team meeting are possible so preference will be given to applicants who are local to the DC Metro area.
