Role Summary:

Vice President – DevOps & SRE is a senior leadership position responsible for driving platform reliability, secure operations, and DevOps excellence across the enterprise. This role integrates site reliability engineering practices with scalable DevOps automation and a robust cybersecurity posture. The VP will lead high-performing teams, define technology strategy, manage infrastructure, and safeguard systems and data to support business growth and digital innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • DevOps Strategy & Execution
  • Lead enterprise-wide DevOps adoption and continuous delivery transformation.
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and cloud-native architectures.
  • Champion automation in deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), service mesh, and serverless environments.
  • Foster collaboration between development, operations, and QA for rapid, reliable releases.
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Establish and lead the SRE function to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Define and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for critical applications and services.
  • Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and postmortem culture.
  • Develop and deploy observability strategies leveraging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or any enterprise tool e.g. New Relic, Dynatrace, Splunk etc .


  • Leadership & Strategic Alignment
  • Build and mentor cross-functional teams across DevOps and SRE.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business leaders to align technical initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, tools, and vendor relationships.
  • Report on KPIs, operational health, security posture, and risk to the executive leadership team.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in IT/engineering with at least 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in implementing DevOps, SRE, and security practices at scale.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP; CI/CD tools; and SRE observability platforms.
