Early-stage Technology/Recruiting start-up is looking for a VP of Engineering to join our founding team.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic VP of Engineering to continue the development of our platform, oversee our critical technology infrastructure.


This leadership role will drive AI-powered automation, cutting-edge DevOps practices, and operational efficiencies, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability while optimizing costs and performance. The VP will shape the future of The Recruiting Squad's technology stack, leveraging AI/ML, automation, and platform engineering advancements to support rapid business growth and foster cross-functional collaboration.


This role will lead and manage teams responsible for:

  • AI/ML & Innovation:
  • Enterprise Architecture – Driving long-term architectural vision and technology alignment with business needs.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management (CloudOps) – Optimizing cloud environments for scalability and cost efficiency.
  • Security Operations (SecOps) – Safeguarding infrastructure, applications, and data.
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) – Improving system reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Network Infrastructure Engineering – Designing and optimizing secure, scalable network infrastructure.
  • Database Engineering – Ensuring database performance, security, and scalability.
  • Command Center Operations – Ensuring 24/7 monitoring and real-time incident management.
  • IT Operations – Managing enterprise IT services, IT Helpdesk, and internal systems.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, IT operations, security operations, cloud, and infrastructure management, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in AI-driven automation, AIOps, and SRE principles.
  • Strong background in cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure etc.) and enterprise security.
  • Extensive experience leading SecOps, SRE, IT operations, and cloud infrastructure teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation using AI/ML, and automation in platform engineering.
  • Strong leadership skills with a growth mindset, focused on building and mentoring high-performance teams.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, storage, and virtualization technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, high-stakes projects.
  • Experience in the payments, fintech industry or highly regulated environments is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
